Hand painting your very own color chart is a wonderful and really useful painting exercise. It is a great way to get to know each color, giving each one individual attention, and comparing different color characteristics as you go!
A color chart that you paint yourself can be a great reference tool as you are painting and also a nice way to keep track of which colors you have.
This color chart was designed for standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
I have had good results using Arches 90 lb. Cold Press Watercolor Paper in my printer for this chart. I simply cut it to size and load it into my printer. Make sure to print on a Black & White setting and not color. Using Epson inks on this paper, I have had no trouble with printer ink running.
